Mark Rasdall, Founder and Managing Director

I set up Burwell Web Communications (burweb) at the end of 2009 after 21 years at the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA). For the last 11 of those years I was Knowledge Director.

My role involved the strategic development of some key knowledge areas including the in-house membership database, the members-only information centre and the IPA's range of websites. I was director and project manager of the IPA's website presence since its first site in 1996 and my specialisms were in creating and indexing website content, information architecture, traffic building and reporting on web analytics.

Previously I had worked in publishing and a major international charity in information research roles, after my first paid position as Information Officer at the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi.

I read Economics at Leeds University before completing an MSc in Information Studies at Sheffield University. You can download my full CV here.

I service burweb's clients through working with a number of talented, experienced associates and by rarely sleeping.

I also write extensively, in a personal capacity, across blogs and forums under the fencreative name.
